The Rappahannock River Valley Wildlife Refuge has asked the NNMN for volunteer assistance with their native plant gardens.
The scheduled work day is Wednesday, September 3, 2025.
Work will begin at the Wilna Lodge location at 9:00am. Please bring basic gardening hand tools, water, and a snack. No experience needed. I will be on-site to show you what the weeds are. If you haven't worked at the refuge, please RSVP so I can have enough volunteer forms.

From 360 between Warsaw and the Downing Bridge, Take route 624 Newland Road for roughly 4 miles. Turn L onto Strangeway rt 636. Proceed ¼ mile, turn Right onto Sandy Lane rt 640. In a mile, turn Left into the Refuge. At the end of the gravel road, turn Left. Last turn Right and the lodge will be to your left.
