As cooler weather approaches, Anne Parker and Buz Cox will resume leading projects at Chilton Woods State Forest. In October, we will enjoy the cooler air and focus on identifying trees to add signs provided by the Virginia Department of Forestry and on refreshing blaze marks on trees along the trails.

Meet at the Doghouse/Central Trail parking area, located off Field Trial Road in Lancaster. 

- Attire: Dress for the weather. Ensure adequate tick and bite protection. The trail is unimproved and uneven so wear appropriate shoes.
- Gear: Please bring water, gloves and safety glasses.
- Reminder: No restroom facilities are available at Chilton Woods State Forest so come prepared!
